I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful; I know that full well.
— Psalms 139:14

This site is my brave and my being faithful in the small things. Three years ago, I wouldn't have had the courage to write and to hope that others read it. But, I am following God's calling on my heart. And although it is very scary, embarrassing and deflating at times, it's rewarding, fun and exciting.

The purpose of this site to inspire other women (and maybe men) to be brave and faithful in the small things. It is in those little wins that we get the biggest victories.

About Me

I am a lover of Jesus, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and ENTREPRENEUR ON THE SIDE. I made a conscious decision to limit my work to about 15 hours most weeks. Being a "sidepreneur" is different and yet similar to being a full-time entrepreneur.

I am a stay-at-home mom who loves her full-time job...being a mother of two young sons and a wife of a wonderful man. Yet, I still have a desire to create a business on the side...something of my own using gifts God has given me and one that will bring additional income to my family. So...I created this blog, and I became a freelance writer. I write content (blog posts, social media and newsletters) for some incredible local businesses.

Prior to this, I was an elementary teacher for 13 years in Madison, AL where I was surrounded with great students and caring coworkers. I love teaching, learning, and being in that environment. In fact, I enjoy it so much that I kept going to school...for years. I earned my doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University in 2016 and have a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH).

I married a wonderful man who I met when we both ran on the cross country and track team at UAH. Funny thing, we couldn't stand each other at first. Over time, though, our dislike became friendship, and our friendship became a deep love. Boy, am I glad that I didn't write him off too soon (and vice versa)! I would have missed out on so much.

After almost 10 years of marriage and after adamantly telling everyone we didn't want children, we had our first son. Two years later, we had our second son. God has a way of changing your heart's desires. He knew exactly what we needed in our lives.
